FUNERAL  SERVICE  TUESDAY

          Mrs. Sarah A. Henderson, age 81 years, died Sunday night at eight thirty o'clock, at her home in Blue Ridge.  Her death was caused by a complication of diseases, and followed an illness which had extended over a period of several years.  Mrs. Henderson was highly respected by her friends in Blue Ridge and community, where the greater part of her life had been spent.  She was born August 19, 1840 in Madison county, and was the daughter of  Robert and  Elizabeth  McDuffee.  She was married November 10, 1864 to  Jefferson  Henderson.  Mr. Henderson passed away June 29, 1921.  Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Christian Church at Blue Ridge, and had been a regular attendant as long as her health permitted.  She leaves one sister, Mrs.  Margaret  Greene,  and one brother,  Greenberry  McDuffee.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock in the Christian Union church at Blue Ridge, the Rev. 0. J. McMullen officiating.  Burial will be made in the church cemetery.  Stewart & Fix in charge.

Died at Three-Thirty O'Clock
Yesterday at Home Near Blue Ridge

          Samuel S. Henderson, aged seventy years and six days, died at his late home in the Blue Ridge community at three-thirty o'clock Monday afternoon, from a complication of diseases.  He had been in poor health for some time, but being able to be up and about.  He was suddenly stricken yesterday morning and continued to grow worse during the day despite the efforts of Dr. G. I. Inlow, of Blue Ridge, who was called.
          Deceased was born in this county April 18, 1846. [son of Joseph & Phoebe (Tompkins) Henderson] He is survived by a son, Frank Henderson by his first marriage, he being married twice.  Besides the son he leaves a brother, William Henderson, of Blue Ridge, and a sister, Mrs. Leffingwell, of Indianapolis.  He was a member of the Christian Union church of Blue Ridge.
          Funeral services will be conducted at two-thirty Thursday afternoon at the Christian Union church, the Rev. Loren Tillison, pastor, assisted by the Rev. O.J. McMullen, officiating.  Burial will be made in the Blue Ridge cemetery.

Passed Away Near Noon

          John Henderson,  about sixty years old, of Manilla, died just before the noon hour today at the southern Indiana hospital for the insane at Madison, where he had been taken this morning by  Dr. W. E. Barnum  for treatment.
          Deceased had suffered a stroke of paralysis some time ago which affected his mind.  His condition had become serious recently and a sanity commission decided that he should [my copy ends here]....

DEATHS  AND  FUNERALS

Joseph Henderson.
----------
          Joseph Henderson,  died in the Soldiers' Home at Lafayette early Wednesday morning of dropsy, from which he had been a sufferer for many months.  He was sixty years of age at the time of his death.  He is a brother-in-law of  Jacob Query,  of this city, and is survived by his widow.  The body will be brought to this city and taken to the home of Mr. Query in West Broadway.  The funeral announcement will be made later by Stewart & Fix, who are in charge.  Mr. Henderson and wife were formerly resident of this city and resided here until the first of September when they closed their home and entered the Soldiers' Home in Lafayette.

          Clarence M. Henderson  died at the Central Hospital for the Insane at Indianapolis at 9 o'clock Tuesday night, August 2, 1910, aged about 40 years.  He was a son of  James Henderson,  of East Jackson street, this city, and had been an inmate of the hospital for the past two years.  The remains were brought to this city this afternoon and taken to the home of the father on East Jackson street.  Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his parents, Rev. Markland officiating.  Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery by Stewart & Fix.

          Charlotte, wife of  S. S. Henderson, died at their residence in Cynthiana at 8 o'clock a.m., September 29th, 1893, aged forty-seven years, three months and twenty-nine days.  She will be buried Sunday, October 1st, at the Cynthiana cemetery.  Services at the Christian church there at two o'clock p.m. by Rev. G. W. Hagans.  D. B. Wilson & Son, funeral directors.
