          Julia Hogue,  widow of the late  William Hogue,  died at the residence of her son,  John Hogue,  in Washington township, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Janaury 13, 1900, of complication of diseases, age fifty-nine years, eleven months and twenty-six days.  She leaves four sons and two daughters.  The funeral services were held in the Winchester M. E. Church at 10:30 a.m. today, January 15, 1895, Rev. Hawkins officiating.  The remains and cortege under the direction of M. G. Tindall.  [Buried Winchester Cemetery]

          James Hogue, a well known resident of Washington township, died Wednesday from typhoid fever.  Deceased was a teacher in the Washington township schools and a man of family.

          James R. Hogue  died at his residence in Washington township at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 8th, of typhoid fever, aged thirty-two years and twenty-seven days.  Mr. Hogue was one of Washington township's leading school teachers, and young men of his township.  He buried a child not long ago with the same fever.  He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss, and his wife and one child are down with the same disease.  Funeral will be held at the Winchester Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 9th, Rev. Riley officiating.  The remains are in charge of Marshall G. Tindall.

          Roy, the five year, six months, and six days old son of  Mr. and Mrs. James Hogue, died at their residence in Washington township, two and one-half miles west of the Cave Mills, August 16, at 7:30 p.m. of typhoid fever.  Funeral was held at the Winchester M. E. Church, Friday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Riley officiating.  Marshal G. Tindall will have charge of the remains.
