ORA  HUGHBANKS, 52,
PASSES  AWAY;  RITES  SATURDAY

          Ora A.Hughbanks, 52, son-in-law of  Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Stevens of West Hendricks street in Shelbyville, died at St. Vincent hospital in Indianapolis Wednesday. He lived at 1907 College avenue in Indianapolis and was the proprietor of a restaurant at 1905 College avenue.
          He is survived by the widow,  Mrs. Leona Hughbanks;  a daughter, Jean,  two brothers, Bert and Hobart, and two sisters,  Mrs. Edna Robbins  and  Mrs. Tillie Kennedy, all of Indianapolis.
          Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Morris and Kerr funeral home at 38th and College avenue in Indianapolis . Burial will be in the Second Mt Pleasant cemetery.

Succumbed To Heart Trouble

          Wallace Hughbanks, aged 30, who has been confined at the Robert Long hospital in Indianapolis for the past several weeks, passed away Sunday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the hospital.  The death was caused by heart trouble with which he had been suffering for some time.  For the past three years Mr. Hughbanks has been a clerk in the McClain grocery on East Broadway, and previous to that time he was a traveling salesman.
          The deceased was the son of the late  Clinton and Minnie Hughbanks  and was born in Morgan county.  Both the father and mother died when he was just a child and he made his home with  Mr. and Mrs. Albert Griffey  in this city.  On October 23, 1920 he was united in marriage Miss Leona Stephens, daughter of  Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Stephens,  who with a two and one half year old daughter, Norma Jean, survive.  He is also survived by three brothers and two sisters;  Mra Edna Robbins,  and  Mrs. Tillie Kennedy,  both of Indianapolis,  Hobart Hughbanks,  of Cleveland, Ohio,  Bert Hughbanks,  of Indianapolis and  Ora Hughbanks  of Bridgeport, Indiana
          Mr. Hughbanks was a member of the Christian church at Bengal, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, with Rev. Herbert Buchanan officiating.  Burial will be made in the Second Mt. Pleasant cemetery in charge of C. F. Fix and Son, funeral directors.

         Mrs. Eliza Jane Hughbank, 80 years old, widow of  William M. Hughbank, died at ten o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dick Huber, eight miles north of this city in the north part of Brandywine township, following an illness that had kept her confined to her bed for ten days.  She suffered from a complication of diseases and her death had been expected for the the past few days.
          Mrs. Hughbank was born November 3, 1835, in Shelby township, and all all her life had been spent in that township, with the exception of the past three years, during which she had been living with her children, the greater part of the time being spent at the home of Mrs. Huber.  Her husband died January 8, 1913.
          In addition to the daughter at whose home she died she is survived by three other daughters and a son.  They are  Mrs. Edward Tucker, of this city;  Mrs. George Hill, of Decatur county;  Mrs. Jerome Tanner, of Fountain county, and  Dale Hughbank, of Idaho.
          Mrs. Hughbank had been a member of the Lewis Creek Baptist church at Wilson ever since she was sixteen years of age.  She was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her and she had many friends, particularly in the south part of the county.
          The funeral services will be held at the Lewis Creek Baptist church at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon, the Rev. S. Homes Wood officiating, and the interment will be made in the church cemetery in charge of Hendrickson & Sleeth.

William  Marion  Hughbanks  Passes  Away
At  the  Age  of  Eighty-Six  Years.

          William Marion Hughbanks,  eighty-six years old, one of the prominent pioneer farmers of Shelby township, died at one o'clock this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dick Huber, in VanBuren township, nine miles north of this city.  His death was due to a complication of diseases, and was not unexpected, as he had gone to his daughter's home last June on account of his enfeebled condition.
          Mr. Hughbanks was born in Kentucky May 21, 1826, and had been a resident of Shelby township in the vicinity of the Barnes school house since he was two years old, having come to this county at the age with his parents  He had always followed farming and had long ago earned the competence to make his declining years pleasant and enjoyable.
          Mr. Hughbanks is survived by his wife, one son, Dale, and four daughters, all prominent residents of this county, the daughters being  Mrs. Edward Tucker,  Mrs. George Hill,  Mrs. Mellie Tanner  and  Mrs. Huber.
         
Mr. and Mrs. Hughbanks celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary the twenty-first day of last October.
          The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at ten-thirty o'clock at the Lewis Creek Baptist church and the interment will be made in the church cemetery in charge of Hageman & Hendrickson.

          James N. Hughbanks  died at his home in Geneva at eleven o'clock p.m., Thursday, March 8th, aged forty-five years.  The remains were buried Saturday at the Jackson graveyard and services were held at the Floyd church at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Kennedy, officiating.  D. B. Wilson & Son, funeral directors.
