          Bert Jarrell,  son of  D. S. Jarrell,  died at his residence in Ray's Crossing at six p.m., Monday, August 3, 1896, of typhoid fever.  Age twenty-five years.  The remains will be buried Wednesday, Aug. 5, services at the little Blue River Baptist church at eleven a.m.  The Rev. G. W. Hagan's officiating.  Interment in the Bennett cemetery.  Cortege will leave the house at ten a.m.  D. B. Wilson & Son funeral directors.

(Blue Ridge, Ind., Aug. 30, 1893)
          Uncle Andy Jarrel died at his daughter's, Mrs. Jacob Inery*, on last Friday night, August 25, at the age of 77 years.  He was a Christian man and was always found in his pew when it was possible for him to do so.  He was buried in the Cynthiama cemetery Sunday, August 27, at 2 p.m. D. B. Wilson & Son, funeral directors.
