ORIAN  KELSAY
DIES  AT  HOME

          Orian A. Kelsay,  71, died at his home in Jackson Township near Mt. Auburn at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.  He had been ill several days.  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sleeth Funeral Home with Rev. William R. Cranford officiating.  Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Friday.
          Born in Flat Rock Jan. 11, 1897, Mr. Kelsay was the son of  Martin D. and  Grace (Smith) Kelsay.  He was married on April 26, 1929, to  Irene Rafferty  and she survives.  Other survivors are one brother,  Russell Kelsay Sr.,  Shelbyville, and three sisters,  Mrs. Fayne (Ruth) McKelleb,  Gas City, and  Mrs. Clarence (Betty) Alexander  and  Mrs. Raymond (Pearl) Eck,  both of Shelbyville.  Four brothers and sisters preceded in death.
          Mr. Kelsay, a retired painter, lived most of his life in Shelby County and was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.  He was a veteran of World War I, a member of Victory Post 70, American Legion, Shelby Barracks, Veterans of World War I, the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and a life member of Disabled American Veterans.

          Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Sleeth Funeral Home for  Martin D. Kelsay, 83, of 794 Fair Ave., who died Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Major Hospital following several months' illness.  He resided with his daughter,  Mrs. Clarence Alexander  of the Fair Ave. address.
      Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, with the Rev. Jack E. Jones officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.
          Mr. Kelsay was a retired painting contractor, having been owner of the Kelsay Painting and Decorating Co. for 20 years.  A longtime resident of Shelbyville, Mr. Kelsay was a member of the First Baptist Church.
          Born in Howard County Nov. 8, 1873, he was the son of  Harvey and  Elizabeth Kelsay.  On Nov. 6, 1895, he married  Grace Smith, who died in December, 1960.
          Surviving with the daughter here are five other children,  Mrs. Raymond (Pearl) Eck  and  Russell Kelsay, Shelbyville;  Orian Kelsay of Jackson Township,  Mrs. Fred (Mary) House, Orlando, Fla.; and  Mrs. Fayne (Ruth) McKelleb, Gas City; 18 grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.  Three children preceded in death.

INFANT  KELSAY

          Dennis Edward, the infant son of  Mr. and Mrs. Newton Kelsay, of West Mechanic street died at the home about one o'clock this morning.  Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the home and burial was made in the Miller cemetery.  Charles M. Ewing, undertaker in charge.
