First  Casualty  from
Hancock  County  Is
County  Man's  Brother

          Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kingen,  of Fortville, have received word that their son,  Staff Sgt. Robert Kingen,  has been listed as missing in action in Europe.  Sgt. Kingen was an aerial bomber and had been overseas four months.  He is reported to be Hancock county's first casualty.
        He is a brother of  Joe Kingen,  of north State Road 9.  Two other brothers,  Pvt. John Kingen  and  Sgt. Fred Kingen,  are serving with the army in Florida and California.  Other brothers and sisters include  Gerald and  Martha,   at home;  Mrs. Ruth Jarrett,  of Fortville, and  Ruth,  of Indianapolis.
          Memorial services will be held for the young man at the Church of the Nazarene in [I cannot read the rest -- it might say Mohawk].
