RITES  SET  FOR  ST. PAUL  MAN
George Paul Logan, 63, Dies Suddenly at Home
----------
          George Paul Logan, 63, died suddenly at his home in St. Paul at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.  He had been in failing health for several years, but death which was due to a heart condition was unexpected.
          Mr. Logan had resided in the St. Paul community for 28 years.  He was born at Morristown March 25, 1890, and was the son of  George N. and Fannie (Thornberry) Logan.  On November 28, 1928, he was married to  Mabel Lemmon  who survives.
          Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Kate Nigh  of Rush county, Mrs. Elva Lummis  of Shelbyville, Mrs. Ruth Farris  of Chicago, Illinois and  Mrs. Guy Nunley  of Indianapolis. A brother  Harry and a sister  Mrs. Dorothy Foster  preceded him in death.
          Mr. Logan was a member of the St. Paul Methodist Church, and had been connected with canning factories in the county for a number of years.
          Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Carmony Funeral Home in St. Paul with Rev. G. Pickett officiating.  Burial will be in Star cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 p.m. today.

MRS. LOGAN,  89,  IS  DEAD  AT  HOME
Widely Known Resident Dies at Place of Birth, Near Morristown

          Mrs. Amaret Pollitt Logan, aged eighty-nine, well known and highly respected citizen of the county, died at her home south of Morristown, at 9:10 p.m. Thursday.
          Mrs. Logan was born March 3, 1849, at the home where she died at the age of eighty-nine years, seven months and ten days.
          She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Howard [Ina] Gordon, at home; two grandchildren, Henry Logan Logan  and  Julia Ann Tracy, and three great-grandchildren, Howard Kent Gordon,  Lou Annette Tracy  and  Jo Ann Tracy.
          Funeral arrangements will be announced later by L. V. Hauk, funeral director.
          The deceased was the widow of  Moses Miller Logan, a Civil war veteran and was a devoted member of the Morristown Christian church.

          Funeral services for  Mrs. Amaret Logan  will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the residence south of Morristown and burial will be made at the Hanover cemetery in charge of L. V. Hauk, funeral director.  Rev. Alonzo Burns of Knightstown, and Rev. W. H. Nutter, of Norristown, will officiate.

OBITUARY

          Amaret Pollitt Logan, the daughter of  William and Lydia Pollitt, was born March 3, 1849 and died October 13, 1938.  She was 89 years, 7 months, 10 days old at the time of her death.  She was united in marriage to  Moses Miller Logan  in 1877, and he preceded her in death 22 years ago.  To this union were born two children, a son and daughter.  The son died in infancy.  She joined the Christian church at Hanover at an early age and was a faithful worker in all departments of the church.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law.  She thoroughly believed that “it takes a heap of living in a house to make a home.”  She left a daughter, Mrs. Howard [Ina] Gordon, a son-in-law, Howard Gordon, two grandchildren, Julia Ann Tracy  and  Henry Logan Gordon, three great grandchildren, Howard Kent Gordon,  Lou Annette Tracy  and  Jo Ann Tracy.  Also she left many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

HARRY LOGAN PASSES AWAY
Morristown Resident, 43 Years Old, Dies in Local Hospital

          Harry W. Logan, 43 years old, of Morristown, died at the Major hospital at 4:30 a.m. today, following an illness of seven weeks.
          Death was due to heart disease induced by influenza.
          Mr. Logan had been a resident of Morristown for the past twenty years ad had been employed in a garage there. He was a member of the Morristown Christian church.
          Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Halsie Logan; one daughter, Miss Vivian Logan; one son, George Ivan Logan, all at home; one brother, Paul Logan, of St. Paul, Indiana, and five sisters, Mrs. Cleo Lummis, of Shelbyville;  Mrs. Frank Nigh, of north of Gwynneville;  Mrs. Guy Nunley, of Indianapolis;  Mrs. Ruth Culbertson, of Chicago, and  Mrs. Dorothy Foster, of White River Junction, Vermont.
          Funeral services will be held at the Morristown Christian church Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock.  The Rev. H. M. Reed, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. A. A. Schneck.  Burial will be in the Asbury cemetery in charge of L. V. Hauk, funeral director.

OBITUARY

          Harry W. Logan, son of  Mr. and Mrs. George N. Logan  was born in Shelby county, Indiana, on September 10, 1893.  He was the fourth of a family of seven children.
          On September 4, 1925, he was married to  Halsie Reames.  To this union were born two children, a daughter, Vivian, and a son, George Ivan.  For the last score of years he had lived in Morristown and he was a member of the Christian church here.  For the last five years he had been employed as a mechanic by E. P. Gates, local business man.
          Those who knew him admired him for his upright, honest living, taking life as it came without complaint or boisterous word.  His devotion to his family and his desire to see them happy and well cared for are attributes that will long be remembered.  Any man who seeks to do that dies well.
          Remaining to mourn his departure and miss this fellowship in life are the widow, Mrs. Halsie Logan; two children, Vivian  and  George Ivan; one brother, Paul Logan, of St. Paul, Indiana, and five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Foster, of White River Junction, Vermont;  Mrs. Kate Nigh, of Rush county;  Mrs. Elva Lummis, of Shelbyville;  Mrs. Lacy Nunley, of Indianapolis, and  Mrs. Ruth Gaston, of Chicago; also a host of other relatives and friends.
