Stroke Fatal to Mrs. Maus
Funeral Services to be Tuesday

          Mrs. Sarah Catherine Maus, age 81, succumbed at her home at 203 East Mechanic St., Sunday afternoon following a stroke of apoplexy.  Mrs. Maus was born in Shelby county on January 31, 1863, and on September 20, 1882 she was united in marriage to  Edmund Cross.  To this union were born five children, three of whom survive:  Mrs. George Kuntz  of Manilla;  Vern Cross, of Indianapolis, and  Mrs. Charles Monroe, of this city.  Mr. Cross preceded her in death.  On September 21, 1913, she was united in marriage to  Morton Maus, who also survives, with five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one half-brother, Alvin Hauk, of Morristown.  Mrs. Maus was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the home, with  Dr. John W. McFall officiating.  Interment will will be made in Forest Hill cemetery in charge of L.V. Hauk.  Friends may call at the late home at any time.  Mrs. Maus was born in Shelby County on January 31, 1863, and on September 20, 1882.
