Shelby County Resident Dies After Stroke

           Seriously ill since suffering a stroke of paralysis on December 20,  Mrs. Clara Lillie May McCloud, age seventy-three, formerly of Waldron, died Sunday night at 7:00 o’clock at the home of a sister,  Mrs. Mahala McAhren, two miles east of Middletown.
           Mrs. McCloud was a lifelong resident of the Waldron community.  She was born in Rush county on December 7, 1873, the daughter of  Samuel and Elizabeth (Houser) Isley.  Her marriage to  George McCloud took place in 1892 and his death occurred in 1910. She was a member of the Waldron Methodist church.
           Surviving with the sister at whose home she died are a sister,  Mrs. Sarah Wilder, of Waldron, and several nieces and nephews.
           Rites will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the D.E. Carmony funeral home in St. Paul with Rev. Amos Bastin, former pastor of Waldron, officiating.  Burial will be made in the Vienna [Rush County] cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home and are asked to omit flowers.
