Norman McVey, 85, Morristown, died Sunday, May 1, 2005.
Born April 20, 1920, in Shelby County, s/o  James H. and  Edith F. (Stansifer) McVey.
Married  Bonnie J. Clapp  and she preceded him in death in 2002.
Survivors:  son,  Eric N. McVey of Shelbyville; two daughters,  Lou Ann Kremer of Greenwood and  Judy L. Vaughn of Shelbyville; two brothers,  Gaylord McVey of Shelbyville and  Richard McVey of Waldron; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two sisters, June Wise and Margaret Jones.
Lifelong Shelby County resident.
Self-employed in sales and carpet installation, for 60 years, retiring in 1992.
Graduated from Waldron High School.
Member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Eagles Lodge and Knights of Columbus.
Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with the Rev. Robb Barlow officiating.
Burial:  Asbury Cemetery, in Morristown.

Bonnie J. Clapp McVey, 78, of Morristown, died Monday, June 24, 2002, Community East Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Oct. 14, 1923, in Shelby County, d/o  Walter and  Sara (McFarland) Davis.
Survivors include:  sons,  Dr. Harold E. "Bud" Clapp of Joplin, Mo., and  Robert Clapp of Indianapolis; daughter,  Kathy Clapp Kincade of Morristown; two daughters-in-law,  Mary Clapp of Joplin and  Margaret Clapp of Indianapolis; one brother,  Everett Davis of Morristown; seven grandchildren  Troy Clapp,  Stephen Clapp,  Bob Clapp,  Rodney Clapp,  Monica Clapp,  Sean Waltz and  Brady Kincade; and three great-grandchildren,  Austin Clapp,  Katelyn Clapp, and  Tyler Waltz.
Preceded in death by three brothers,  Richard Davis,  Wayne Davis and  Charles R. Davis, and one sister,  Esther Ponsler.
Homemaker.
Member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Morristown American Legion Auxiliary, Morristown Order of Eastern Star No. 316 and Shelby County Extension Homemakers.
Attended Morristown High School.

Burial:  Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.

RITES  TUESDAY        
        FOR  MRS.  MCVEY

          Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon for  Mrs. Lucy McVey,  79-year-old Waldron resident who succumbed Saturday at 11:00 p.m. at the Smith Nursing Home in Waldron.
          The services will be held at the Waldron Baptist Church, of which Mrs. McVey was a member, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Neuenschwander officiating.  Burial will be in the VanPelt cemetery.  Friends may call at the Carmony Funeral Home in St. Paul until noon Tuesday and after that at the church.
          Mrs. McVey had been in failing health for two years and in a serious condition since November 17.  She was born in Bethel, Ky., on September 17, 1862, and had resided in Waldron since 1912.  She was the daughter of  James F.  and  Della (Ralls) Coons.  On November 30, 1882, she was married to  Charles McVey, whose death occurred on March 24, 1920.  Three sons were born to this union,  Samuel McVey  of this city and  James  of Waldron.  Marshall, the third son, preceded her in death in 1946.  Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
