Evelyn V. Nasby, 81, of Shelby County, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, Indianapolis.
Born May 23, 1920, in Darke County, Ohio, d/o  Charles A. and Margaret (Brosey) Neff.  Married Clifford E. Nasby  on Oct. 29, 1947.  He preceded her in death on May 25, 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Victor Nasby  of Milroy and  Kermit Nasby  of Shelbyville; one daughter,  Rita Sue Dennis  of Morgantown; two brothers,  Herman Neff  of Mount Olive, Miss., and  Harold Neff  of Union City; two sisters,  Esther Spille  of Lynn and  Ruby Lee  of Knoxville, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one infant sister.
Graduated in 1943 from Jewish Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Registered nurse.  Owned the Waldron Nursing Home for 10 years.  Employed at Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis, Pittsburgh Plate Glass and Heritage House Children’s Center.
Moved from Portland to Waldron in 1952.
Member of Waldron Baptist Church and Bear Paw Quilters Guild.
Waldron Baptist Church, 112 E. Grant St., Waldron, with the Revs. Steve Holland and Gerald Hampton officiating.
Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County.
