Marcella F. Oglesby, 47, Shelbyville, died Friday at Cape Canaveral Hospital, Cocoa Beach, Fla. Born on July 14, 1951, in Beech Grove, she was the daughter of Ralph and Clista (Price) Mayo. She married Gary Oglesby on July 17, 1971, and he survives. Mrs. Oglesby retired from Pioneer Sports, Shelbyville, after working there for three years. She had lived in Shelbyville since 1965, coming from Orleans. She was a member of West Side Wesleyan Church.5 Apr 1999

Other survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Gordon, Shelbyville; her parents, St. Omer; two sisters, Leotta L. Sherley and Sara Mayo, both of Shelbyville; a brother, Lavell Mayo, Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at West Side Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Marvin Hughes and the Rev. Darell Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery, Decatur County. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
