          Mildred Marie Milner,  81, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, July 10, 2005, at Brandywine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield.
          Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.
          Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
          Burial will be Memorial Park Cemetery, in Indianapolis.

Charles Parks Dead At Home of Niece

AT  HOME  OF
JENNIE  HUGHES  NEAR  FREEPORT

          Charles Parks, 75 years old a well known resident of VanBuren township died at the home of his niece, Miss Jennie Hughes, one and a half miles south of Freeport, at nine-fifteen o'clock last evening from paralysis.  He suffered the first stroke last Sunday while sitting at the dinner table.  The second stroke, which caused his death came Wednesday morning at two o'clock and ever since until the end he had been at death's door.
          Mr. Parks was born in Missouri and had lived there until several years ago when he came to the home of his niece, where he had since resided.  He was a man of noble character and was loved and esteemed by all who knew him.  He was never married and leaves no nearer relatives than nieces and nephews.
          The funeral services will be held Friday morning at ten-thirty o'clock at the home of his niece, the Rev. John Jackson officiating, and the interment will be made in the Hanover Cemetery.
(Note:  Spelling should be Parke and Mr. Parke was most likely born in Shelby Co, IN.)
