Kathryn Ponsler, 90, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, Hope.
Born Jan. 14, 1912, in Fairland, d/o  Charles and  Nellie (Ensminger) Beaumont.  Married  Russell S. Ponsler  on Feb. 27, 1930; he preceded her in death on March 31, 1993.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Mrs. Charles (Darlene) McKinney  of Shelbyville; two sisters, Lourene Gunning  and  Elsie Heistand, both of Shelbyville; 3 grandchildren, Mark Gravely  of Flat Rock,  Karen Frazier  and  Kathy Weaver, both of Shelbyville; 4 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Holmes  and  Frances Lowe. Homemaker.
Graduated in 1929 from Flat Rock High School.
Member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church and Shelby County Farm Bureau.

Russell S. Ponsler, 85, a life-long Washington Township resident, died Wednesday, Beech Grove.
Born January 20, 1908, in Shelby County, s/o  Ezra and  Anna (O'Dell)  Ponsler.  On February 27, 1930, married  Kathryn Beaumont, who survives him.  Farmer in Washington Township and a member of the Lewis Creek Baptist Church, the Shelby County Farm Bureau and the Flat Rock Citizens Committee.  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Darlene) Ziegler, Shelbyville; a sister, Lillian Hammond, Miami, Florida; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.  Sister and a brother deceased.
