FOR  LOUIS  REICHEL

Well Known Athlete Dies
in Indianapolis

          Funeral services for  Louis J. (Lou) Reichel,  age forty-three, native of this city and a well nown figure in Indiana athletics, will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Indianapolis.  Burial will be made in Crown Hill cemetery.  He died Monday at his home at 4107 Boulevard Place, Indianapolis.  He had been ill but his health had apparently improved and his death was unexpected.
          Mr. Reichel had been athletic director and head coach at Park school in Indianapolis since 1972.  He was graduated from Butler university in 1927 and while there was an outstanding football player.  He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and also of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church.
          He was born in this city in 1901, the son of  Mr. and Mrs. Adam Reichel.  He was a nephew of  Mrs. Carrie Reichel,  of Meridian St.  Other survivors include the widow,  Mrs. Harriett D. Reichel;  one brother and three sisters,  Rudolph Reichel,  Mrs. Emma Beinburg and  Mrs. Lena .... [my copy ends here -pmf]
