Mary A. “Lina” Rich, 97, of Hope, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003.
Born September 10, 1905 in Shelby County, d/o Clarence O. Rouse and
Rhoda E. (Worrell) Rouse.
Married Ernest L. Rich and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1974.
Survivors: 1 son, Melvin “Buddy” Rich of Hope; two brothers,
Arthur Max and Robert Rouse, both of Morristown; three sisters,
Gertrude Purcell of Osgood, Ruby Alice Hargrove of Fairland,
Lillian Theobald of Shelbyville; three grandchildren, Kim Coy
and Kevin Rich of Hope, and Kris Rich of Clifford; and two great-grandchildren,
Jason Darnell and Nathan Rich, both of Hope.
Preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Homemaker. Correspondent for the Hope Star Journal.
Member of the Clifford United Methodist Church.
Norman Funeral Home in Hope.
Burial: Fairland Cemetery.
