MRS. SHARKEY DIES;
FUNERAL

Mrs. Melvina Sharkey, 75 years old died Friday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
William Frost, 1050 West Thirty-fourth street. She was born at Fairland, Shelby county, and married
to Patrick Sharkey . She was a member of the Methodist church and an active worker in all branches
of the church until her later years. She has been a resident of Greenfield the last twenty years.
Surviving are six children, John and
Herbert Sharkey, Mrs. Frost and Mrs. Ethel Steel, all of
Indianapolis, Mrs. Minnie Ennis of Martinsville and William Sharkey of Greenwood; fourteen
grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Elmer Jones at the St. Paul M. E. Church, Eugene and
Rader streets, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Friends may view the body after 1 o'clock this afternoon
at the home of Mrs. Frost. Burial will be at Greenwood.
