Mrs. Caroline Kerns Sinex, widow of E. W. Sinex, died this Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Maria Walker, corner of
Beharrell avenue and Spring street, aged seventy years six months and
twenty-six days. Deceased was born and passed her entire life in Indiana.
She was known to many of the citizens of New Albany and Salem, and was a
woman of Christian life and example, being a devoted member of the M. E.
Church, and holding her membership in Weir Memorial M. E. church at Salem.
Five children survive her. They are Mrs. Maria Walker, of this city; Mrs.
Lizzie White and Mrs. Flora Rodman of Washington county; Elisha Sinex of Wisconsin and Thomas Sinex of Washington County. The funeral will take place Thursday from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Walker, the Rev. W. G. Clinton and the Rev. Dr. Thomas Beharrell conducting the religious services.
