Mrs. Nellie Streng
Dies at 85; Rites Set

          Mrs. Nellie Streng,  85, lifelong county resident, was found dead this morning at her home three miles south of Fountaintown.  Death was attributed to a heart condition by Shelby County Coroner Dr. Roger Whitcomb.  Mrs. Streng was born Sept. 22, 1885, in Shelby county and was the daughter of  Barney and  Margaret (Means) House.  She was married to  Dr. Frederick Streng,  a well-known veterinarian in northern Shelby county, in 1888, and his death occurred in July of 1950.
          Survivors include five nephews and one niece,  John Cox  of R.R. 1, Fountaintown,  Lawrence,  Joseph,  Henry and  Harold Streng,  and  Mrs. Edna French.  An adopted son preceded her in death serveral years ago.
          Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the E. L. Frazier funeral home in Morristown.  Burial will be in Asbury cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
