“ Edward Thibo, 37, Dies Here
Rites Wednesday for Well Known Farmer

          Edward "Ed" Thibo, 37, of Liberty Twp. ... a former staff member of The Shelbyville News, died unexpectedly ... today in Major Hospital. ... Death was attributed to complications after [an emergency appendectomy].
          [He] was a 1945 Waldron High School graduate and was a photographer and engraver for The News from 1947 to 1951.  He had been engaged in farming since that time.
          [He] ws born Dec. 19, 1926, in Shelby County, the son of  Mrs. Ethel (Zobel) Thibo  of R. R. 1, Waldron, and the late  Edd Thibo.  On Feb. 27, 1949, he married  Patricia Wagoner  and she survives with two children, Holly  and  Jeannette Thibo, at home.
          Also surviving are four brothers, Cornelius Thibo  of R. R. 1, Waldron, Glenn Thibo  of Waldron, Maurice Thibo  of Kansas City., Mo., and  Lowell Thibo  of Indianapolis, and two sisters  Mrs. Joseph (Wilma) Johnson  of this city, and  Mrs. George (Marjorie) Lanigan  of Kansas City, Mo.
          [He] was a member of the St. Vincent Catholic Church.  Services will be held at the church Wednesday, with Rev. Anthony Seger officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Vincent cemetery.  Friends may call at the Murphy Mortuary ..."
