Year's Illness Ends In Death Saturday
For Mrs. Mae Timney

          Ill for the past year and in a serious condition for the past six weeks, Mrs. Mae Timney, age 48, died at her home in Fairland Friday night at 11:30 o'clock.
          Mrs. Timney was born in Shelby county April 23, 1893, the daughter of  John Mack  and  Ida Mae Ensminger.  She was a member of the Brandywine Methodist Church.  On February 4, 1912, she was married to  Wray Timney, who died February 15, 1926.  Three children were born to the union and two survive.  They are  Herbert, of the Unites States Navy, and  Carolyn Ann, at home.  Also surviving are four sisters;  Mrs. Allen C. Bennett, of this city;  Mrs. Jesse Purcell, of Fairland;  Mrs. Alta Pruitt  and  Mrs. Carolyn Link, of Indianapolis,
          Funeral services will be held at the Edwards and Kohlmeyer funeral home today at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. C. O. Carnes officiating.  Burial will be made in the Fairland cemetery.

Dies Suddenly

FUNERAL  TO  BE  WEDNESDAY

          Mrs. Carrie Lorene Timeny,  wife of  Franklin Pierce Timeny,  died suddenly at the family home in Hendricks township at six-thirty o'clock Sunday evening.  Death was caused from apoplexy after an illness of only a few hours.
          She was born in Shelby county on May 26, 1870, being at the time of death fifty-nine years old.  Her parent were Mr. and Mrs. William Miller.  In 1889 Mrs. Timeny was married to Franklin Pierce Timeny, to which union one daughter was born.  She was a devoted member of the Bengal Christian church.
          Surviving are the husband, one daughter,  Mrs. William Yater,  of Franklin; four sisters,  Mrs. William Roe,  Mrs. David Lusk,  of this city;  Mrs. Alfred Roberts, of London;  Mrs. David Flenner, of Cicero, two brothers,  Bert  and  Frank Miller, both of Shelbyville.  One grandchild also survives.
          Funeral services will be conducted at the family home at one-thirty o'clock Wednesday morning with burial in the Second Mr. Pleasant cemetery with Charles M. Ewing, undertaker in charge.

Death Occurs At Home Of Daughter,
Following A Long Illness

          Mrs. Annie Laurie Timney, 62 years old, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Nigh, of Fairland at 4:15 o'clock this morning, after several months illness with a complication of diseases.
          Mrs. Timney was born January 9, 1864, the daughter of  Anderson and Julia Wray in the northern part of Shelby county and has lived in this county throughout her life, gaining many friends and acquaintances who mourn her death.  She was always a highly respected woman in the community in which she lived, taking an active part in the work of the Methodist church of Fairland, of which she was a member for many years.
          She was married to Frank Timney July 19, 1884 and to this union five children were born, two of whom survive.  They are:  Mrs. Nigh, the daughter at whose home she died, and  Mrs. Harry Fox.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren.  Mrs. Timney was a member of the Pythian Sisters and the Eastern Star of Fairland, and until her illness been an active worker in both organizations.  Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Fairland at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. E. A. Boston officiating.  Burial will be in the Fairland Cemetery, with Ralph J. Edwards, funeral director, in charge.  The casket will not be opened at the church, it has been announced.  Friends may call at the home at any time after 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.

          Robert Wray Timney, age thirty-six, one of the better known younger residents of Shelby county, died Monday evening at six o'clock at his home in Fairland.  His death was caused by lung trouble, and followed an illness of which had extended over several years.
          Mr. Timney had served some time as deputy county auditor, and became widely acquainted through the county while holding that position.  Mr. Timeny had also served as postmaster at Fairland, and as assessor of Brandywine township.  He was a Democrat in politics and had been active in the party organization as long as his health permitted.
          He was the son of  Frank  and  Anna Timney  and was born in the county July 11, 1889.  He attended the schools at Fairland, and was a graduate of the Shelbyville high school.  He was married August 17, 1906, to  Miss Rose Barrett.  Her death occurred soon after their marriage.  He was married February 4, 1912, to  Miss Mae Ensminger.  Three children were born to them.  Two surviving.  Mr. Timney was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Fairland.  He was also a member of the Fairland Knights of Pythias Lodge, the Fairland Pythian Sisters and Kiowa Tribe of Red Men, of Shelbyville.  Members of the Red Men's Lodge will have charge of short services at the cemetery.
          Besides the widow, Mr. Timney leaves one son, Herbert; one daughter, Carolyn Ann; his mother, Mrs. Anna L. Timney, and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Nigh, of Fairland and  Mrs. Harry Fox, of Shelbyville.
          Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Fairland Methodist church, the Rev. F. A. Boston, pastor of the church, officiating.  Burial will be made in the Fairland cemetery, Ralph J. Edwards, in charge.

          Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Timney, widow of Kenneth Timney, were held at the home of her mother, Mrs. Charles [Etta] Morgan, in Indianapolis. The body was brought here for burial in Forest Hill cemetery.
          Mrs. Timney was 23 years old.  She lived in Shelbyville for a number of years, having attended the local schools.  Her husband taught in the Shelbyville schools for several years.
          Her death occurred on the morning of July 4, and was caused by tuberculosis, which she had contracted while caring for her husband, who died about two years ago.
          Mrs. Timney, before her marriage, was Miss Juanita Shaw.   She leaves her mother, her father, James O. Shaw, of Shelbyville, one brother,  Wilbur Shaw of Indianapolis, and her grandmother,  Mrs. Selina Shaw, of this city.

And This City -- Ill For Some Time

          Kenneth Timney, until last December, a teacher at the Department school building in this city, died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Anna Timney, in Fairland, Sunday afternoon at 1:45 o’clock. He was twenty-five years of age and was one of the most successful teachers of the county.
          For a few years Mr. Timney taught in the schools of the county and then accepted a position at the Department building in this city. He was one of the popular teachers there and was liked by the entire school organization. However, last December he was forced to resign because of a throat affliction of long duration, which eventually was the cause of his death. Upon leaving the school he prepared for a trip south, but was stricken before he could depart.
          Mr. Timney was a son of the late Frank Timney, of Fairland, and is survived by his wife [Juanita Shaw] and mother, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Ernest Nigh, Mrs. Harry Fox and Wray Timney, all living in Fairland
          He was a member of the Fairland M.E. church and of the F.& A.M. lodge, No. 279, of Fairland. He was a young man of very sterling qualities and had a brilliant future.
          Funeral services will be held at the Fairland M.E. Church, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, Rev. Trowbridge officiating and burial will be made in the Fairland cemetery in charge of Ralph J. Edwards, undertaker.

Frank Timney, 54, Former Fairland Merchant
Died Early this Morning Will Be Buried Thursday Afternoon

          Frank Timney, aged 54, a resident of Fairland for the past sixteen years and a native of Scotland, died at his home in Fairland at 3:20 o'clock this morning of a complication of diseases.  Mr. Timney had been ill for the past few days, his death had been expected momentarily.  Mr. Timney was a member of the advisory board of Brandywine township for one term a few years ago and was a straightforward man.  He spent 4 years of his life as a merchant at Freeport and was in the same business at Fairland for 12 years.
          He was born in Scotland, July 12, 1862 and was made a naturalized American only a short time ago.  Mr. Timney is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ella Timney, two sons, Wray Timney, manager of the Fairland telephone exchange and Kenneth, a teacher in the Departmental building; and two daughters, Mrs. Harry Fox and  Mrs. Earnest Nigh.  Besides these he leaves one sister, Mrs. John Lyons, of this city and two step sisters, Mrs. Douglas Martin and Mrs. Mary Pollitt, of this city and two brothers, David and Peter Timney.
          He was a member of the Fairland Order of K. of P., Masons and held membership in the Odd Fellows and Masons of this city.  He was also a member of the Fairland M. E. Church.
          The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon.  The Rev. A. R. Jones, former pastor of the Fairland Church, assisted by the Rev. M. E. Abele, present pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be made in the Fairland Cemetery.

          William Ensminger Timney, the four months' old son of  Mr. and Mrs. Wray Timney, died at their home, 28 McKenzie street, this morning at 9 o'clock of stomach and bowel trouble.  Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock.  Interment in Fairland cemetery in charge of  Ralph J. Edwards.
