Mrs. Edith Goodpaster VanWinkle, 90, died Friday, January 15, 1960,
Austin, Texas.
Visiting in Austin since December 9, with son, Matthew VanWinkle,
head of the chemistry department at the University of Texas.
Born November 4, 1870.
Married William Shadley Van Winkle.
Member of the First Christian Church of Shelbyville.
Lived 515 W. Mechanic St, Shelbyville.
Surviving: son, Matthew VanWinkle, Austin, Texas; two
grandchildren, Susan and John VanWinkle, Austin.
Daughter, Miss Pearl VanWinkle preceded her in death.
Ewing Mortuary with Rev. James H. Horner officiating.
Burial: Forest Hill cemetery.
