W. F. VIERLING  DIES  SUDDENLY
Local Grocery Owner Succumbs at Home.

          William F. Vierling, 63, owner and operator of the Vierling Grocery on E. South St., formerly the  Whaley  Grocery, died suddenly at his home, 232 E. Hendricks St., at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.  Death was attributed to a coronary occlusion.
          A native of t his city, Mr. Vierling was born April 27, 1891, the son of  William and  Katherine (Brink) Vierling.  He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lorena Godfrey  of the E. Hendricks St. address; one half-brother, Alvin Smith  of Indianapolis, and one niece, Mrs. Helen Jean Whisman  of this city.
          Funeral services will be held at the late home Friday at 200 p.m. with Rev. Bernard Burgert officiating.  Interment, in charge of the Murphy Mortuary, will be in Forest Hill cemetery.  Friends may call at the Hendricks St. residence after 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
