WEARE  FUNERAL  SET  FOR  TODAY

          John Weare, aged 85, died  suddenly Sunday morning at 8:45 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Owens, of near St. Omer.  His death was attributed to a heart attack, suffered while sweeping snow from the sidewalk at the Owens home.
          Mr. Weare was born in Ripley county March 4, 1857, the son of  Mr. and Mrs. Andy Weare.  He was married to  Rebecca Jones  on April 1, 1880, and she preceded him in death Nov. 15, 1939.
          To this union three children were born, two having died in infancy.  One daughter survives, Mrs. Owens, at whose home he died.  Others[sic] survivors are four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
          Mr. Weare was one of a family of six children, all having preceded him in death except one sister, Mrs. Jeff Hale, of New Castle.
          Funeral services will be held at the Star Baptist church, northeast of St. Omer this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with the Rev. C. H. Grace, pastor of the [the article continues but my copy ends here - PMF].
