Robert A. Wendelboe, 78, life time Shelbyville resident, died Sunday at Community East Hospital.
Born July 18, 1921, in Shelby County, s/o  John and Mary (Tucker) Wendelboe.
World War II, serving with the U.S. Army
Fireman for 28 years and with the Shelbyville Fire Department, retiring in 1978.  Drake's Electric Company and was an electrical inspector for Shelby County.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Wendelboe, Shelbyville, and  Robert A. Wendelboe, Indianapolis; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one brother.
Graveside services will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Amelia Wendelboe Dies At Indianapolis
----------
Mrs. Amelia Wendelboe, 99, died today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lena Coatney, 1826 Lexington Avenue, Indianapolis, where she had resided for the past six years.
Would have been 100 on July 18.  Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, July 18, 1861.  Resident of Shelbyville for 56 years, moving here in 1899.  Married to Adolph Wendelboe in 1889; he preceded in death February 1958.  Member of the Presbyterian Church here.
Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Howard  of Shelbyville and  Mrs. Coatney. Four children preceded in death.  Seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive.
Rev. Ronald Felty officiating.  Burial will be at Forest Hill cemetery.

Adolph Wendelboe, 91, a resident of Shelbyville for many years; Indianapolis resident for six years, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lena Coatney, at 826 Lexington, Indianapolis, Monday.
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, September 5, 1866; well-known cabinet-maker.  Worked for many years in local furniture shops and for more than 50 years had lived at 742 Blanchard Street.  Former member of local Red Mens' and Modern Woodmen Lodges and member of the First Presbyterian Church.
March 3, 1889, married  Amelia Straub  and she survives with two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Howard  of Shelbyville, and  Mrs. Coatney.  Seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren also survive.  Four children preceded him in death.
Rev. Roscoe Wolvington officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.

Rites For John Wendelboe

John W. Wendelboe, 60, former member of the Shelbyville Police Dept and employee of the Albert Furniture Company for the last 15 years, died at his home at 216 East Broadway.
S/o  Adolph  and  Amelia (Straub) Wendelboe, he was born at Pentwater, Michigan, on June 11, 1891, but had resided here for 48 years.  He was a member of the Salvation Army and the local Red Men's lodge.
Married to  Mary Tucker  whose death occurred in 1931.  Two sons, William  of this city and  Robert  at home, survive.  December 6, 1940, married to  Amelia Hewitt  who survives with the parents and four step-children:  Howard Stainbrook  of this city;  Mrs. Edith Weber  of Crockett, California;  Mrs. Naomi Gambrel  of Crothersville and  Paul Stainbrook  of New Palestine.
Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Howard  of this city and  Mrs. Lena Coatney  of Indianapolis, and 15 step-grandchildren.
Sleeth Funeral Home, Capt. R.C. Ellis officiating.  Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Dies After Long Illness

          An illness of three years, during the last nine months of which she had been bedfast, ended in death at 6:45 o'clock last night for  Mrs. John [Mary] Wendelboe, thirty-one years of age, at her home on 730 South Noble Street.
          Mrs. Wendelboe was born September 17, 1902.  Her marriage to  Mr. Wendelboe took place on November 11, 1919.  Besides the husband, who was formerly a member of the Shelbyville police force, she leaves two sons, William and  Robert; her father  Ephraim Tucker; her mother  Mrs. Emma Anderson; three sisters, Mrs. Warren [Viola] Purvis, and  Mrs. Edgar [Vera] Hauk, of this county, and  Mrs. A.R. Orem  of North Vernon; and three brothers, Harry Tucker  of Shelby county, Arthur, of Johnson county, and  Everett  of Marion county.
          Mrs. Wendelboe was a member of the First Baptist Church.  The funeral service will be held in this church at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, with Dr. A.E. Cowley officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery with Carmony Brothers in charge.

Henry Wendelboe Dies At
Indianapolis Hospital After Long Illness

BODY  BROUGHT  BACK  TODAY

          Henry Wendelboe, 29, died this afternoon at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, following an abdominal operation.  He had been in the hospital for two weeks for treatment for his ailment.  Death came at 1:45.
          The body will be brought to the C.F. Fix and Son mortuary this afternoon.  Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
          He leaves to mourn him, the widow and two children, Richard  and  Marilyn, besides the parents, Mr. and  Mrs. Adolph Wendelboe; one brother, John, and two sisters, Mrs. Alonzo (Eleanor) Howard, all of this city, and another sister, Mrs. William (Lena) Coatney, of Indianapolis.
          Mr. Wendelboe, up until the time his health failed him, was a valued employee of the Blanchard-Hamilton Furniture Company.
