          Robert H. Whitecotton,  72, Noblesville, died on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Riverview Health at Noblesville.  He was born Aug. 22, 1942, at Indianapolis, to  Virgil and  Virginia (Davis) Whitecotton.  He was a graduate of Warren Central High School with the class of 1960.  Mr. Whitecotton then proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army.
     He married  Linda Sue (Lucas) Whitecotton  on June 3, 1963.  She survives.  He had worked for the Chrysler Corp., first at Indianapolis, then at New Castle.  He was a member of the United Auto Workers.  Mr. Whitecotton loved life and had an incredible sense of humor.  He enjoyed playing golf and fishing with his grandkids.  He spent time with each individual grandchild, fostering a special relationship with them.
          Survivors include: his wife; a daughter:  Lacy (Jeff) McGrew,  Cicero; sister,  Barbara Jackson,  Indianapolis; grandchildren,  Tyler (Taylor) McGrew,  Evan McGrew, and  Jenna McGrew,  as well as several nieces and a nephew.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother,  Tommy Whitecotton;  and a sister,  Betty Deckard.
          Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015, at Cicero Christian Church, 1715 Stringtown Pike, Cicero, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Elder John Knapp will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to Cicero Christian Church, 1715 Stringtown Pike, Cicero, IN 46034.  Arrangements being handled by Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
