Martha T. Whitehead, 93, of Lebanon, died Saturday, April 19, 2003.
Born Jan. 17, 1910, in Shelby County, d/o  Otto A. and Emma A. (Headlee) Thomas.  Married  Wilbur W. Whitehead  on Jan. 1, 1933, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1985.
Survivors include one son,  James T. (Margaret) Whitehead  of Thorntown; one daughter, Mrs. L. David (Nina) Dellinger of Monticello; six grandchildren, Mrs. Stephen (Ellen) Reising  of Sellersburg,  J.T. Whitehead  of Indianapolis, Mrs. Craig (Mary) Kessler  of Columbus, Bill Whitehead  of Lebanon,  Mrs. John (Andrea) Winegardner  of Libertyville, Ill., and  Dowal Lewis Dellinger  of Monticello; and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Lived in Shelby County after she was married until moving to Lebanon in 1938.
Paralegal in a Shelbyville law office.
Member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Ulen Country Club and Psi Iota Xi, all in Lebanon; various women’s groups; and county extension homemakers clubs at local and state levels, where she held various offices.
Powell Chapel in Oak Hill Cemetery, 935 E. Washington St. in Lebanon.
Dr. James F. Morin officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
