HEART  AILMENT  PROVES  FATAL
Mrs. Joan Willett, Age 87

           Mrs. Joan (Compton) Willett, age 87, died suddenly at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of her daughter, Miss Adah Willett, of 132 West Washington street.  Her death, which came as a distinct shock to a large circle of friends, was due to a heart ailment.  Mrs. Willett would have been eighty-eight years of age next Monday.
           Born in Shelby county, Mrs. Willett spent the early years of her life here, but had lived in Michigan for more than thirty years.  Her home was a Grosse Ile, Michigan. She was the daughter of  David and Sarah (Snepp) Compton.  Mrs. Willett is survived by two daughters, Miss Adah Willett, of this city, and Mrs. S. C. Trafer, of Grosse Ile, Michigan; a son, David Meredith Willett, of Dearborn, Michigan; three grandchildren and two brothers, W. E. Compton, of California, and Frank Compton, of Tipton.  She was a member of the St. George Luthern church in Jackson township.  Private funeral services will be held at Miss Willett's home, 132 West Washington street, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday with Dr. C. A. Bowler officiating, and burial will be made at the St. George cemetery.  Omission of flowers is requested by the family.
