Hannah F. Anderson the plaintiff Complains of William H. Anderson and says that on the 12th day of August 1877 she was married to the defendant and that by said Marriage there was born three children -
Pearle age 10 years -
William age 7 years -
Bertha age 5 years that she is now and has been a bona fide resident of Shelby County for more than six month and a resident of the State of Indiana for two years That her residence since the 5th day of August 1889 has been in the City of Shelbyville Indiana and previous to said time for she resided in Columbus, Indiana and that her occupation since is and for some time has been that of hired girl working for wages That on the 26th day of August 1888 the defendant abandoned her and her children without any support or provision to hustle for themselves and has for more than two years last past wholly failed to provide for their support.
The defendant now is and has been for four years an habitual drunkard.
That defendant did times without Warrents unlawfully assault and beat the plaintiff without cause, and since the said Abandonment by the defendant she has not cohabited with her said husband and she now is compelled to support herself and children by her own labor and efforts, & her said husband is not a proper person to have the Custody of said Children.
Wherefore she asks judgment for a divorce and the custody of said Children, And for all other property relief.
