THE STATE OF INDIANA,
            vs.                             }         Indictment for
                                                        A & B
    William Holbrook

The Grand Jurors of Shelby County, in the State of Indiana, good and lawful men, duly and legally impanneled, charged and sworn to inquire into felonies and certain misdemeanors in and for the body of said County of Shelby in the name and by the authority of the State of Indiana, on their oaths present that one William Holbrook late of said County, on the 12th day of June, A.D. 1880 at said County and State aforesaid, did then and there in a rude, insolent and angry manner unlawfully touch, strike and beat one David Cotton contrary to the form of the statue in such cases made and provided, and against the peace and dignity of the State of Indiana."
