The
plaintiff complains of the defendant, and for caus [sic] of complaint says, that heretofore towit on the 20 day
of April 1885, The defendants executed their certain promissory note to plantiff [sic] promising on or before September
1, 1885 to pay to order of A. J. Thurston (which is plantiff) at First National Bank of Shelbyville, Indiana Fifty
dollars with 8% Int after Maturity and atty fees a copy of said Note is filed herewith Marked Ex A" That plantiff
has employed J. A. Tindall at atty to collect said Note that a reasonable atty fee is ten dollars. That
said note is due and remains wholly unpaid wherfore [sic] plantiff demands Judjment for one hundred dollars &
cost and all other relief.
