County of Shelby:SS.Be it Known, that on the first day of October A.D., 1852, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court, before the Clerk thereof, John Collins an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of Ireland, aged about 25 years, and owes allegiance to Great Britain and Ireland that he emigrated thence, embarked at Liverpool England and arrived at New York in the United States on the 15th day of April A.D., 1846 and that it is bona fide his intention to reside in and become A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever ALL ALLEGIANCE AND FIDELITY to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State of Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Victoria Queen of Great Britain and Ireland.
Sworn and subscribed the first day of October 1852.
In Testimony Whereof, I Jacob Vernon, Clerk of the Shelby Circuit Court, hereunto set my name and Seal of Said Court the above date.
