County of Shelby:   SS.

          Be It Known, that on the 20th day of September A.D., 1854, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court, before the Clerk thereof,  Patrick Dunn  an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of Ireland aged about twenty one years, and owes allegiance to the Queen of Great Britain & Ireland that he emigrated thence, embarked at Dublin in Ireland and arrived at Burlington in Vermont in the United States, on the 4th day of June A.D., 1849 and that it is bona fide his intention to reside in and become A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever All Allegiance and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Victoria Queen of Great Britain and Ireland.
          Sworn and subscribed the 20th day of September 1854.

          In Testimony Whereof, I Jacob Vernon, Clerk of the Shelby Circuit Court, hereunto set my name and Seal of Said Court the above date.

          Be it Known, that on the 12th day of October A.D., 1852, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court, before the Clerk thereof,  John Dunn  an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of Ireland, aged about 32 years, and owes allegiance to the Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland that he emigrated thence, embarked at Galway and arrived at New Orleans in the United States on the 25th day of December A.D., 1849 and that it is bona fide his intention to reside in and become A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever ALL ALLEGIANCE AND FIDELITY to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State of Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Victoria Queen of Great Britain and Ireland.
          Sworn and subscribed the 12th day of October 1852.
