            This indenture made this 26th day of November eighteen hundred and thirty five between  Benjamin W. Sawins and  Rachel Sawins his wife of Adams County and state of Illinois of the one part and  Stephen Harvey  of the County of Shelby and state of Indiana of the other part witnesseth that the said Benjamin W. Sawins and Rachel his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and do by these presents grant Bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Stephen Harvey his heirs and assigns forever all their right title and interest in and to all that certain tract of land lying and being in the state of New York and county of Tompkins and township of Hector, described in a certain deed of conveyance Executed by  Benjamin Burriss  to Rachel Harvey [,]  Perlina Harvey [,]  Samuel Harvey  and  Stephen Harvey,  heirs of Stephen deceased  it being the same tract or parcel of Land on which the said Stephen Harvey deceased family lived in his lifetime and also at the time of his death. Which is one equal and undivided fourth part of said tract of land described in said deed of conveyance hereby referred to, which said tract of Land was purchased of the said Benjamin Burress by the said Stephen Harvey and paid for in his lifetime and whereas the said Benjamin Burress had neglected to make and execute a deed to the said Stephen Harvey in his lifetime The said deed was executed to the said Rachel Perlina Samuel and Stephen Harvey they being all of Legal-heirs to the said Stephen Harvey deceased.  Together with all and singular the pivileges and appurtanances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions remainders and profits thereof and all the estate title interest and claim of them the said Benjamin W. Sawin and Rachel his wife either in law or equity in and to the same. To have and to hold the Lands hereby conveyed with all their appurtunances to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Stephen Harvey his heirs and assigns forever and the said Benjamin W Sawins and Rachel his wife for themselves their heirs executors and administrators to covenant and agree to and with the said Stephen Harvey his heirs and assigns that they are by virtue of the aforesaid deed of conveyance and by the said Rachel’s being one of the Legal heirs of the said Stephen Harvey Lawfully seized of the said one fourth part of said tract of Land described in said deed hereinfore referred to and have good right and full power to sell and convey the same in manner and form aforesaid and further that they the said Benjamin W. Sawins and Rachel his wife Their heirs executors and administrators shall and will warrant and defend the premises aforesaid to the said Stephen Harvey his heirs and assigns against the Lawful claim of all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof the said Benjamin W. Sawins and Rachel Sawin have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

            Be it remembered that on the twenty sixth day of November in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty five Before me William J. Peaslee of Shelbyville in the state of Indiana Notary public by authority of Law duly appointed and qualified the within named Benjamin W. Sawin and Rachel Sawin personally came and acknowledged that they signed sealed the within deed of conveyance as their act and deed for the purposes therein expressed. And the said Rachel Sawin the wife of the said Benjamin W. Sawin being by me examined seperate and apart from her husband and the contents of the within deed being made known to her she acknowledged that she executed the same of her own free will and accord and as her act and deed without any coercion of her said husband. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Notorial seal the day and year above written.
