This indenture made the twenty Second day of March in
the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty Seven between David F.
Randolph and Jemima F. Randolph his wife of the County of Shelby and
State of Indiana of the one part and Daniel Snepp of the County and State
aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said David F. Randolph for
& in consideration of the sum of one hundred & eighty dollars to
him in hand paid by the said Daniel Snepp the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledge hath granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and doth by these
presents grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Daniel Snepp his
heirs and assigns forever the following described & bounded piece of Land to
wit: It being a part of the East half of the South west quarter of section
number nineteen (19) in Township number eleven, 11, North of Range Six, 6, East
and in the district of Lands subject to sale at Indianapolis Indiana commencing
at the North west corner of said half quarter and thence running South on the
line dividing the west & east halves of said South west quarter ninety
seven, 97, rods more or less to a stake on said line ,thence East twelve & a
half, (12 ½) rods, more or less to a stake, thence North one and half degrees
East from the _____ point ninety seven, 97, rods more or less to a stone on the
north line of said East half. and thence west twenty one, 21, poles more or less
to the place of begining, containing nine acres more or less. together with
all the appurtenances thereunto belonging and the reversions remainders and
profits thereof and all the estate title and interest of the said David F.
Randolph in & to the same, To have and to hold the premises aforesaid with
all the appurtenances to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said
Daniel Snepp his heirs and assigns forever. and the said David F. Randolph for
himself his heirs executors & administrators doth covenant and agree to
& with the said Daniel Snepp his heirs and assigns that he the said David F.
Randolph is lawfully seized in fee of the premises aforesaid that they are free
from all incumbrance and that he has good right to sell & convey the same in
manner & form aforesaid, and further that he and his heirs executors and
administrators shall and will warrant and defend the said premises to the said
Daniel Snepp his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of himself &
his heirs and also against the lawful claim or claims of all and every other
person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said David F. Randolph
& Jemima F .Randolph his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the

State of Indiana Shelby County, to wit, Be it remembered that
the within named David F. Randolph and Jemima F. his wife known to me to be the
person who executed the foregoing Deed came this day personally before me, the
undersigned one of the associate judges of the Shelby Circuit court and each
severally acknowledged that they and each of them did sign seal and deliver the
within an foregoing indenture as and for their & each of their own act and
deed. The said Jemima F. Randolph the wife of the said David F. being full age
and the full contents and purposes of the said indenture having been by me first
made known to her and being by me seperate and apart from and without the
hearing of her said husband privately examined upon such seperate examination
she did declare and acknowledge that she voluntarily and of her own free will
and accord and without any coercion or compulsion of her husband signed sealed
and delivered the within indenture as her act and deed for the purposes therein
mentioned. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 22nd
day of March 1847
