Know all men by these presents that we John B Michael and Hanah Michael wife of said John B Michael of the County of Clinton of the state Indiana in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid by Joshua K Lemmons of the County of Shelby & State of Indiana have bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Joshua K Lemons his heirs and assigns forever the following premises situate in the County of Shelby in the State of Indiana and bounded and described as follows it being the North half of the West half of the South East quarter of section twenty five in Township Twelve North Range seven East containing forty acres more or less To have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said Joshua K Lemons his heirs and assigns forever - And the said John B Michael for himself and heirs doth hereby covenant with said Joshua K Lemons his heirs and assigns that he is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid that the premises are free and clear - from all incumbrances whatsoever - and the he will forever Warrant and Defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said Joshua K Lemons his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever - In testimony whereof the said John B Michael and Hanah Michael have hereunto set their hands and seals this Fourteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty one.

Before me James Frier a Justice of the peace in and for said County personally appeared the above John B Michael
and Hanah his wife and acknowledged the signing and sealing the above conveyance to be their Voluntary act and
deed and the said Hanah being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the
contents of said instrument made known to her by me she then declared that she did Voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge
the same and that she is still satisfied therewith this Fourteenth day of April AD 1851 Eighteen hundred and fifty

to be genuine And further - that the annexed instrument is executed and acknowledged according to the laws of said

Deed Record Book S, page 263, contains identical language, except the land being purchased by Joshua K Lemmons
from John B Michael and Hannah Michael, his wife, (this time for $200) is the S-1/2 of the W-1/2 of the SE-1/4
of Section 25, Township 12 North, Range 7 East (also containing 40 acres more or less). The document was signed
"at said Court at office in Frankford this 6th day of April AD 1851." It was recorded 29 Aug 1851.
