Otey Wilkins Deed from William Wilkins and Frances Wilkins
(both of their marks)
Know All Men by these presents that William Wilkins and
Frances Wilkins of the county of Shelby and State of Indiana in consideration
of the sum of three hundred dollars to them in hand paid by Otey Wilkins of
the County of Shelby and Satate of Indiana the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell convey and confirm to the said Otey
Wilkins his heirs and assigns forever the following Real Estate Lying and
being in the county of Shelby and State of Indiana as follows To wit
The
East half of the North West quarter of section seven in Township Fourteen
North of Range six East
in such District of Lands subject to Sale in
Indianapolis Indiana containing eighty acres. Together with all the
priviledges and appurtences as to the same belonging to have and to hold the
same after our deaths to the said Otey Wilkins his heirs and assigns forever
hereby convenanting that the said William Wilkins and Frances Wilkins Will
Warrant and forever Defend the same against all legal claims or claims
whatsoever. In Witness whereof the said William Wilkins and Frances Wilkins
his wife hath hereto set their hands and seals this Eighteenth day of
December in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven
seized sealed and delivered in the presence of Lewis J. Menez [Means] and
Granvill Vernon.

Before me the undersigned a Justice of the peace
within and for said County personally came William Wilkins the above named
grantor and acknowledged the above Deed of Conveyance to be his act and deed
for the purposes therein mentioned and also Frances apart and without hearing
from her said husband and the full contents acknowledge and signed sealed and
delivered the same and Relin quished her right and title to Dower in the
above described premises of her own free will and accord and as her act and
ded seal and deliver the said Deed of conveyance without any coersion or
compulsion from her husband. Given under my hand and seal this 18th day of

This Indenture
Witnesseth that Otey Wilkins and Michael Murnan of the County of Shelby and
State of Indiana as a Donation to the Citizens for a Public Burying Ground
the receipt whereof is hereby duly acknowledged do hereby bargain sell and
convey to ann citizens their heirs and assigns forever the following Real
Estate in Shelby County and State of Indiana and described as follows to wit
being a part in the
North East half of the North West quarter of Section
Seven the Balance in the West half of the South West quarter of the same
section in Township fourteen Range six East
bounded as follows commencing at
the NorthWest corner of the graveyard thence South seven Rods thence East
seven Rods thence North seven Rods thence West seven Rods to the place of
beginning together with all the priviledges and appurtencences to the same
belonging. To have and to hold the same to the said citizens their heirs and
assigns forever. The grantors their heirs thereby covenanting with the
grantee their heirs and assigns that the title so conveyed is cear free and
unincumbered and that they will warrant and defend the same against all
claims whatsoever - In Witness Whereof the said Otey Wilkins and Michael
Murnan have hereunto set their hands and seals this thirteenth day of March
1852 signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Lewis J. Reeves.

State of Indiana Shelby County, Personally appeared before me the subscriber
a Justice of the peace in and for said County Otey Wilkins and Michael C.
Murnan the grantors in the above conveyance and acknowledged the same to be
their voluntary act and deed. Witness my hand and seal this Thirteenth day of
March 1832
