                                      To the Clerk of the Shelby Com Pleas Court, I  Nancy Carter  hereby relinquish my rights to administer on the estate of  Landen Carter, my late husband deceased, and I hereby request said Clerk to appoint my son John W. Carter administrator of said estate.  Given under my hand this Sept 1870.

D. 1870 and that he died seized of a personal estate to be administered upon of the probable value of fifteen hundred dollars and that affiant is a resident of said county and the oldest son of said decedent He files the relinquishment of the widow of deceased, Nancy Carter, & asks to be appointed Admin of said estate.

The administrator is chargeable as per last report made at the March Term of the Com Pleas [Court] with the sum of
