Per a certified copy of his military records, CHARLES HOWERY died 28 January 1863 at Sandersville, TN, while a private in Company F, 70th Regiment Indiana
Volunteers, at the age of 25 years. Cause of death was disease. He was the son of WILLLIAM HOWERY
and CATHARINE COLCLAZIER.
