The following is a copy of a note given by William Holbrook in his life time to Royal Mayhew to wit: "Due Royal Mayhew or bearer two dollars & fifty cents Value recd March 14, 1840-- (signed) Wm Holbrook "
Which note still remains due & unpaid, in the hands of said Mayhew a copy of which he has this 11th day
of May 1842 delivered to Wm. H.(sic) Holbrook Administrator of the Estate of said William Holbrook deceased, which
statement said Mayhew Makes oath is true - this 11th day of May 1842
