Guardianship

          Know all men by these presents, that we,  George M Kelly,  Joseph Kelly,  Nathan R Kelly  &  Matthew McWhinney  of the county of Preble and State of Ohio, are held and firmly bound unto  THE  STATE  OF  OHIO  in the sum of  Five Hundred dollars, current money of the United States, for the payment of which we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. --- Sealed with our seals, and dates 29th day of March A.D. 1842.

          WHEREAS,  at a Court of Common Pleas, this day held for said county, at the Court-House threeof[sic],  Geo. M. Kelly    Joseph Kelly  were appointed  GUARDIANS  for  John Kelly  aged 17 years,   Kesiah Kelly  aged 14 years,   Cornelius Kelly  aged 13, and Jeremiah Kelly  aged 1 year, children & Heirs at law of  Ambrose D Kelly  Deceased.
          Now, the condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above bounden  George M Kelly  &  Joseph Kelly  shall discharge with fidelity the trust reposed in them as Guardian of the said Minors and shall render an accurate statement of all their transactions with a just account of the profits arising and accruing from the real and personal estate of their said wards and shall deliver up the same to the Court, when thereunto required; that then and in that case the above obligation to be void, else to be and remain in full force and virtue in law.
