Will of
Amanda J. Mayhew
I Amanda J. Mayhew of
the city of Shelbyville, Shelby County Indiana do make, disclose and
publish the following as my last will and Testament.
Item 1. I will and
direct that all of my just debts, funeral expenses, and the expenses of
administration if my estate be first paid out of my personal estate of
sufficient,
Item 2. I will and bequest to each of the five children of
my deceased brother Royal Mayhew the sum of Twenty-five dollars. The said
children being named Matt Mayhew, Watterman Mayhew, Royal Mayhew, Annie
Bloom and Fanny the youngest child of my said brother who is married but I
do not know her present name.
Item 3. I will devise and bequest to
my brother Edward L. Mayhew, all of the residue of my estate both real and
personal the real estate to be owned and held by him in fee simple. And the
personal property to be owned and held by him absolutely.
Item 4. I
nominated and appoint my brother Edward L. Mayhew as Executor of this my
will. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16" day
of October 1912.
