Last  Will  and  Testament
of

Carey  F. Thomas

          I,  Carey F. Thomas , of Shelby County, Indiana, do hereby make and publish this as my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills bv me made.

Item 1.  It is my will that all of my just debts including funeral expenses, cost of burial lot and cost of a suitable monument to be erected at my grave, which monument is to be selected by my beloved wife, Phebe M. Thomas, shall be paid out of my estate.

Item 2.  I will, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Phebe M. Thomas, the West half of the South West Quarter of Section Twenty-four (24) in Township thirteen (13) North in Range Seven (7) East, in Shelby County, Indiana and also all other real estate and personal property of every kind and description of which I may die seized and the owner.

Item 3.  I hereby nominate and appoint my beloved wife, Phebe M. Thomas, as the executrix of this, my Last Will and Testament.

          Signed and acknowledged by Carey F. Thomas as his last Will and Testament in our presence and signed by us at his request as attesting witnesses in his presence and in the presence of each other this 17th day of December, 1913.

          Be it remembered, That on the 14th day of Sept Harry L. Goodwin one of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last Will and Testament of Carey F. Thomas late of said County, deceased personally appeared before the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County, in the State of Indiana, and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, upon his oath, declared and testified as follows, that is to say: That on the 17th day of Dec. 1913 he saw the said Carey F. Thomas sign his name to the said instrument in writing as and for his last Will and Testament, and that this deponent, at the same time, heard the said Carey F. Thomas declare the said instrument in writing to be his last Will and Testament, and that the said instrument in writing was, at the same time, at the request of the said Carey F. Thomas and with his consent attested and subscribed by the said Harry L. Goodwin and Bayard G. Keeney in the presence of said testator, and in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said Carey F. Thomas was at the time of the signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing, as aforesaid, of full age (that is, more than twenty-one years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory and not under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes, and further deponent says not.

          I, Cecil B. Collins, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Indiana, do hereby certify that the within annexed Will and Testament of Carey F. Thomas has been duly admitted to probate, and duly proved by the testimony of Harry L. Goodwin one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete record of said Will, and of the testimony of the said Harry L. Goodwin in proof thereof, has been by me duly made and recorded in Book 7 at Pages 53-54-55 of Wills of said County.

          In Attestation Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said Court, at Shelbyville, this 14 day of September 1915.
