Will and Testament
of
Elizabeth Witmer
I, Elizabeth Witmer of the County of Shelby State, of Indiana being deeply
impressed with the speediness and uncertainty of Human life and desirous of
making the best provisions for my Estate and being moreover of sound mind,
make, ordain and publish this my last Will and Testament.
After the payment of all my just debts and Funeral Expenses and putting up my
Tombstone, over my grave agreeable to my station in life.
I give and devise all my property both personal and Real Estate of every
description to my beloved Brother, Jacob Witmer in fee simple absolutely his
forever, I do hereby nominate and appoint my Brother Jacob Witmer Executor of
this my last Will and Testament Within my hand and Seal this 21 day of Sept
1909.

Be it remembered, That on the 19th day of February 1912 Lewis D. Reed, and of
the subscribing witnesses to the within and forgoing last Will and Testament
of Elizabeth Witmer late of said County, deceased, personally appeared before
Otto L.Coyle, clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby Co., in the State of Ind.,
and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, upon his oath declared and
testified as follows, that is to say That on the 21st day of Sept. 1909 he
saw the said Elizabeth Witmer sign her name to the said instrument in writing
as and for her last Will and Testament and that this deponent at the same
time heard the said Elizabeth Witmer and with her the same time, at the
request of the said Elizabeth Witmer and with her consent attested and
susbcribed by the same Lewis D. Reed and John Stainm in the presence of each
other as subscribing witnesses, thereto, and that the said Elizabeth Witmer
was at the time of the signing and subscribing in writing as aforesaid of
full age (that is more than twenty-one years of age) and of sound and
disposing mind and memory and not under any coercion or restraint as the
said deponent verily believes and further deponent says not.

clerk of said court at Shelbyville 19th day of Ebruary 1912.

I Otto L. Coyle Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Indiana, do
hereby certify that the within annexed Will and Testament of Elizabeth Witmer
has been duly admitted to probate, and duly proved by the Testimony of Lewis
D. Reed one of the subscribing Witnesses thereto that a complete record of
said Will, and of the testimony of the said Lewis D. Reed in proof therof,
has been duly made and recorded in Book 206 [? - appears to have been lined
through] at pages 119-20 of the record of Wills of said County. In
Attestation Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed the seal
of said court, at Shelbyville, this 19th day of February 1912.
