Last  Will  and  Testament
of

Ella  C. Adams


          I,  Ella C. Adams,  a resident of the City of Shelbyville, Shelby County in the State of Indiana, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament.

Item 1.  I direct that as soon as possible after my decease all of my Just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my estate by my Executor hereinafter named.

Item 2.  It is my will and I do hereby order and direct that as soon as possible after my decease all of the real estate of which I may die seized shall be sold under a proper order of the Shelby Circuit Court of Shelby County, Indiana, by my Executor hereinafter named, and the proceeds derived from the sale thereof I dispose of us hereinafter mentioned.

Item 3.  I give, devise and bequeath to my son William C. Martin the sum of One thousand Dollars to be paid to him in cash out of my estate.  I further give, devise and bequeath to my said son William C. Martin one of my diamond ear-rings to be held and enjoyed by him solely and to be used by no other person.  I further give and bequeath to him, the said William C. Martin, the "sampler" now owned by me.

Item 4.  I give, devise and bequeath to my son Edward B. Martin one of my diamond ear rings to have and to hold as his individual property forever.

Item 5.  I give, devise and bequeath to my sons William C. Martin and Edward B. Martin, my diamond brest pin, containing three stones, and it is my will that they shall divide the same between them as they may see fit so to do.

Item 6.  After the payment of all of my Just debts and funeral expenses as provided for in Item one above and the bequests as provided for in items three, four and five above, I give, devise and bequeath all of the residue of all of my state that shall remain to my two sons William C. Martin and Edward B. Martin share and share alike in fee simple.

Item 7.  I do hereby constitute and appoint my son William C. Martin as the Executor of this my last will and testament.

          Signed, sealed and acknowledged by the above named Ella C. Adams as her last will and Testament in our presence, and signed by us as attesting witnesses thereto at her request, in her presence and in the presence of each other, this 6th day of March 1914.

State of Indiana, Shelby County, SS:

          Be it remembered that on the 19th day of April, A.D., 1915 the 67th judidical day of the February Term of the Shelby Circuit Court in said year, come into open Court William C. Margin and produces in Court an instrument in writing purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Ella C. Adams, deceased, and now moves the admittance thereof to probate and record, and in proof of said Will introduces Everet E. Stroup one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, who being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, on oath, declare and testify as follows, that is to say; That on the 6th day of March 1914 he saw the said Ella C. Adams sign her name to said instrument in writing as and for her last Will and Testament, and that this deponent , at the said time, saw the said Ella C. Adams declare the said instrument in writing to be her last Will and Testament, and that the said instrument was, at the same time, at the request of the said Ella C. Adams and with her consent attested and subscribed by the said Everet E. Stroup and Walter C. McFadden in the presence of said testator and in the presence of each other, as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said Ella C. Adams was, at the time of the signature and subscribing of said instrument in writing as aforesaid, of full age (that is, more than twenty-one years of age) and of sound mind and memory, and not under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes, and further deponent says not.

          Whereupon it is ordered, adjudged, and decreed by the Court that said instrument in writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Ella C. Adams deceased, and is hereby admitted to probate and record in this Court.

          I, Cecil B. Collins   Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Indiana, do hereby certify that the within annexed Will and Testament of Ella C. Adams has herein duly admitted to probate and duly proved by the testimony of Everet E. Stroup one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that as a complete record of said Will and of the testimony of the said Everet E. Stroup in proof thereof, has by me been made and recorded in Book 6 at pages 575, 576, 577, and 578 of the record of Wills of said County.
          In Attestation Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed the seal of said Court, at Shelbyville, Indiana this 19th day of April 1915.
