My Last will and testament Janury the 3rd 1851
I Joshua Ensminger of Shelby County and State of Indiana do make and
publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all
former wills by me at any time hereto fore made.
First Nancy Catharine Ensminger is to have my bed and beding at my
decease. Second I direct that if Joseph Lacy, Isabel his wife takes
[care] of me till my decease that they are to have a just Compensation for there
Services to be paid out of my money or notes, Third I direct that the balance of
my estate if any is to be divided equally among my Six children namely Andrew
Ensminger, Marthy Pollys heirs, Hannah Huffman, Cathrine
Hafford, William K.
Ensmingers heirs, Issabel Lacy, Fourth I direct that the two children,
namely Phillip Ensminger is to have one dollar, John Ensminger to
have one dollar.
Fifth I hereby make and ordain my friends James McDuffy and Joseph Lacy
executioners of my last will and testament in witness whereof I Joshua Ensminger
set my hand and Seal.

Before me Jacob Vernon Clerk of the Probate Court of said County personally
came Edmund Lacy and being by me duly sworn says he saw and heard Joshua
Ensminger who is now deceased, sign seal publish and declare the above
instrument of writing as his last will and testament, that he verily believes he
was of sound mind and memory at the time of its execution and not under
restraint or coercion and that he signed his name thereto as a witness in the
presence of said testator and at his request and in the presence of Nancy Lacy
the other subscribing witness thereto.

I Jacob Vernon Clerk of the Probate Court of said County, do hereby certify
that the within will was duly admitted to Probate before me on the 21st day of
July 1851, and that a full and complete record of the same has been made
together with the proof and examination of Edmund Lacy the witness by whom the
same was proved have been recorded in Letters of Administration Book A, on page
443.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal
of office this 21st day of July A.D. 1851
