Will of
William Hacker
I William Hacker of Shelby County in the State of Indiana
do hereby make and publish this my last Will and Testament.
Item 1
I direct that as soon after my decease as possible all of my debts and funeral
expenses by paid out of my personal Estate.
Item 2
I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Hacker the note
for Four Hundred Dollars heretofore executed by Thorp B. Jennings
and his wife Eliza V. Jennings to me; Also the note for Six
Hundred Dollars heretofore executed by Jacob Conrey to
me. Also Five hundred Dollars of the Bank Stock now owned by me of the
First National Bank of Shelbyville in the State of Indiana. Also all of
the household furniture, books and all other personal property of any and all
kinds owned by me at the time of the decease not hereinafter bequeathed.
Said property above mentioned so bequeathed to my beloved wife Mary
Hacker I give and bequeath to her forever and to be received by her in
lieu of her interest in my Estate under the loaws of the State of Indiana.
Item 3
I give and devise to my daughter Amanda Randall in addition
to the Real Estate I have hertofore[sic] given to her the one hundred Dollar
note heretofore executed by her and her husband Thomas J Randall to
me, the same to be received by her in full of her interest in my Estate
Item 4
I give and devise to my son Thomas S. Hacker in addition to
the money I hve heretofore advanced to him, the note for Five hundred Dollars
heretofore executed by him to me. I also give and devise to him the note
for Two hundred Dollars heretofore executed by Jacob A. Conrey to
me. Also the Scottish Rite Charm and the Knight Templar Charm and the
watch chain now owned by me: The same to be received by the said Thomas S.
Hacker in full of his interest in my Estate.
Item 5
I give and bequeath to my daughter Laura May Fleming in
addition to the Real Estate I have heretofore given and advanced to her the Two
hundred Dollar note heretofore executed by her husband Caughey Fleming
to me. I also give and devise to her the note of Two hundred Dollars
heretofore executed by Jacob A. Conrey to me.
Item 6
Having heretofore advanced and given to my daughter Belle Conrey certain
Real Estate, I direct that said advancement and gift shall be in full of her
interest in my Estate and that she receive nothing further therefrom.
Item 7
Having heretofore advance and given to my daughter Eliza V
Jennings certain Real Estate, I direct that said advancement and gift
shall be in full of her interest in my Estate and that she receive nothing
further therefrom.
Item 8
I give and bequeath to Thorp B Jennings the Knight Templar
sword now owned by me.
Item 9
I give and devise to my son William A. Hacker in addition to
the Real Estate I have heretofore advanced and given to him, the note for Forty
Dollars heretofore executed by him to me: The same to be received by the
said William A. Hacker in full of his interest in my Estate.
Item 10
I give devise and bequeath to Thomas S Hacker and Jacob
A Conrey as Trustees, Fifteen hundred Dollars of the Bank Stock now
owned by me of the First National Bank of Shelbyville in the State of Indiana to
have and to hold the same in trust for the sole use, behoof and benefit of the
children of my son William A Hacker: And I direct that said
Trustees Thomas S Hacker and Jacob A Conrey shall
immediately upon my decease take the possession of and look after and manage
said stock, collect all profits, interests, and dividends arising therefrom and
semi-annually to pay the same to said children it they be of age. And if
they or any of them be minors then to pay the same to their legal
representatives, taking their receipt therefor. And I direct that the said
Thomas S Hacker and Jacob A Conrey continue to act as such Trustees, look after
and manage said stock, collect all profits, interests and dividends arising
therefrom and semi-annually to pay the same over to said children as above
stated until the youngest of said children shall arrive at the age of Twenty one
(21) years at which time I direct that said Thomas S Hacker and Jacob A Conrey
as such Trustees shall turn over said stock to said childrenand that said stock
shall then be divided among said children share and share alike.

Be it
remembered That on the 3' day of August 1891 Everett E Stroup one of the
subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last Will and Testament of
William Hacker late of said County deceased, personally appeared before John R
Sedgwick Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County in the State of Indiana and
being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court upon his oath declared and testified
as follows: that is to say: That on the 25" day of July
1891 he saw the said William Hacker sign his name to said instrument in writing
as and for his last Will and Testament and that this deponent at the same time
heard the said William Hacker declare the said instrument in writing to be his
last Will and Testament and that the said instrument in writing was at the same
time at the request of the said William Hacker and with his consent attested and
subscribed by the said Everet E Stroup and Samuel P McCrea in the presence of
said Testator, and in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses
thereto, and that the said William Hacker was at the time of the signing and
subscribing of said instrument in writing as aforesaid of full age (that is more
than Twenty one years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory, and
not under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes and
further deponent says not.

admitted to probate and duly proved by the testimony of Everet E Stroup one of
the subscribing witnesses there that a complete record of said Will, and of the
testimony of the said Everet E Stroup in proof thereof has been by me duly made
and recorded in Book 2 at pages 376-7-8-9 of the records of Wills of said County

I the undersigned Mary A Hacker widow of William Hacker deceased do hereby
accept of the terms and provisions of the last Will of my said husband made and
executed by him on the 25" day of July 1891 and do hereby accept and take
the provisions as therein made to me in lieu of the Statutory allowance and
provisions under the laws of the State of Indiana and I hereby declare myself
perfectly satisfied with the terms and provisions of said will.
