Last Will and Testament
of
Louis G. DeHoe
I Louis
G. DeHoe being of sound mind and disposing memory make and declare this to
be my last will and testament revoking all wills by me heretofore made.
Item
1. I hereby direct that I be
buried at an expense not to exceed $125.00.
Item
2. I desire that a tombstone be
erected at my grave at a cost not to exceed $125.00.

3. I hereby give $25.00 to the
pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Shelbyville Indiana for masses for my
poor soul.

4. I direct that all of my just
debts including the debts and expenses of my last sickness be paid.

5. After complying with items 1,2,3
& 4 above the balance of my estate I give, bequeath and devise to my
beloved daughter Mary C. McAvoy, she having been so kind to me and still
continuing to look after my every want.

Be it
remembered, that on the 31 day of October, A.D. 1916 the ______judicial day of
the October Term of the Shelby Circuit Court in said year, come into open Court
Wray & Campbell and produced in Court an instrument in writing purporting
to be the last Will and Testament of Louis G. DeHoe, deceased, an now moves the
admittance thereof to probate and record, and in proof of said Will introduces
Thomas H. Campbell the subscribing witnesses thereto, who being duly sworn by
the Clerk of said Court, on oath, declare and testify as follows, that is to
say: That on the 24th day of
June 1916 he saw the said Louis G. DeHoe sign his name to said instrument in
writing as and for his last Will and Testament; and that this deponent, at the same time, heard the said Louis G.
DeHoe declare the said instrument in writing to be his last will and Testament,
and that the said instrument in writing was, at the same time, at the request
of the said Louis G. DeHoe and with his consent attested and subscribed by the
said Thomas H. Campbell and Jimmie Knight Campbell in the presence of said testator,
and in the presence of each other, as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that
the said Louis G. DeHoe was, at the time of the signing and subscribing of said
instrument in writing, as aforesaid, of full age (that is more than twenty-one
years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not under any
coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes, and further
deponent says not.

Whereupon
it is ordered, adjudged and decreed by the Court that said instrument in
writing purporting to be the last Will of Louis G. DeHoe deceased, is the last
Will and Testament of Louis G. DeHoe deceased, and is hereby admitted to
probate and record in this Court.

Collins Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Indiana, do hereby certify
that the within annexed Will and Testament
of Louis G. DeHoe has been duly admitted to probate, and duly proved by the
testimony of Thomas H. Campbell one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that
a complete record of said Will, and of the testimony of the said Thomas H.
Campbell in proof thereof, has been by me duly made and recorded in Book 7
at pages 165 & 166 of the record of Wills of said County.
In
Attestation Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed the seal
of said Court, at Shelbyville Indiana, this 31st day of October
1916.
