Last Will and Testament of
Mary Duffy
I, Mary Duffy of St. Paul, Shelby County, Indiana, fomerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, being of sound mind and disposing memory do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all former wills by me heretofore made.
Item 1. I hereby direct that my Executer hereinafter named shall pay all of my just debts, including the debts of my last sickness and funeral expenses, as soon after my death as he can reasonably do so.
Item 2. I will, devise and bequeath $150.00 as follows: $50.00 to the Little Sisters of the Poor in Cincinnati, Ohio; $50.00 to the Catholic Orphan asylum for the benefit of the orphans home of Cincinnati, Ohio; and, $50.00 to the Seminary at Cincinnati, Ohio, for the education of men for the Catholic Priesthood.
Item 3. I will, devise and bequeath the money received from a life insurance policy in the Prudential Life Insurance Company for masses for myself and the deceased members of my family and I also devise $50.00 for the masses for my poor soul, both of such funds to be paid by my executor to the pastor of St. Xavier's Catholic Church on Sycamore Street in Cincinnati, Ohio: I also devise $50.00 for masses for my poor soul, said sum to be paid by my Executor to the pastor of St. Paul's Catholic Church in St. Paul, Indiana.
Item 4. I will, devise and bequeath to my friend Mary Salmon of Cincinnati, Ohio, $50.00, but should I advance said sum to her in my life time as shown by papers found in my possession after my death or should she die before my death then I desire that this Item of My will shall be revoked and absolutely void.
Item 5. I will, devise and bequeath to the children of my deceased brother, Timothy McAuliffe as follows: - To Nora Allen, Anna Greenwell, Frank McAuliffe, Timothy McAuliffe and Hugh McAuliffe, each the sum of One Hundred and fifty Dollars.
Item 6. I will, devise and bequeath to the children of my brother Patrick McAuliffe as follows: - To Mary Jones, Nellie Gorman, Margaret Slifer, Lucy McAuliffe, Frank McAuliffe, Charles McAuliffe and James McAuliffe, each the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars.
Item 7. After complying with the above provisions of this my last will and testament, I will, devise and bequeath the residue of my property remaining to the children of my deceased brother Timothy McAuliffe and the children of my brother Patrick McAuliffe, share and share alike and in equal proportions.
Item 8. I hereby nominate and appoint my nephew Charles McAuliffe of St. Paul, Indiana as the Executor of this my last will and testament.

This instument in writing was signed by the above named Mary Duffy as her last will and testament in our presence as witnesses and signed by us as witnesses, at her request, in her presence and in the presence of each other.

Be it remembered that on the 12 day of December, A.D. 1919, the 59th judicial day of the October Term of the Shelby Circuit Court in said year, come into open Court Charles McAuliffe and produces in Court an instrument in writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Mary Duffy, deceased, and now moves the admittance thereof to probate and record, and in proof of said Will introduces M.O. Sullivan one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, who being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, on oath, declare and testify as follows, that is to say: That on the 19th day of July 1918 he saw the said Mary Duffy sign her name to said instrument in writing as and for her last will and testament; and that this deponent, at the same time, heard the said Mary Duffy declare the said instrument in writing to be her last Will and Testament, and that the said instrument in writing was, at the same time, at the request of Mary Duffy and with her consent attested and subscribed by the said M. O. Sullivan and F. H. Limpus in the presence of said testator, and in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said Mary Duffy was, at the time of the signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing, as aforesaid, of full age (that is, more than twenty-one years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes, and further deponent says not.

Whereupon it is ordered, adjudged and decreed by the Court that said instrument in writing purporting to be the last will of Mary Duffy deceased, is the last Will and Testament of Mary Duffy deceased and is hereby admitted to probate and record in this Court.

I, Gordon Thurston, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Indiana, do hereby certify that the within annexed Will and Testament of Mary Duffy has been duly admitted to probate, and duly proved by the testimony of M. O. Sullivan one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete record of said Will, and the testimony of said M. O. Sullivan in proof thereof, has been by me duly made and recorded in Book 7 at page 450 of the Record of Wills of said County.
In attestation whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said Court, at Shelbyville, Indiana, this 12th day of December 1919.
