Rachel
A. Lewis
Item One. I, Rachel A. Lewis hereby direct and order that my farm containing 117 acres of land located in Noble Township be sold and from the proceeds of said sale of land, I direct that all my just debts be first paid; then a monument erected for my husband and myself, not to cost less than three Hundred dollars ($300.00)
The residue of proceeds of said sale of land I will to C. Hop Crosby
and
Bertha A. Curtis share and share alike.
Item Two. I give bequeath and devise to Bertha A. Curtis, my house and lot in Waldron.
Item Three. I give to each of my four sisters one of the best quilts I have.
Item Four. I give to C. Hop Crosby my silver tea spoons.
Item Five. I give to C. Hop Crosby and Bertha A. Curtis each six silver knives and forks and three silver spoons and all the other personal property to be divided between them share and share alike.
Item Six. I nominate and appoint Bertha A. Curtis and C. Hop Crosby as executors of my last will.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my signature this 25 day of February 1907.

The foregoing instrument being signed sealed and acknowledged by the said Rachel A. Lewis in our presence on the above named date and at her request and in our presence and in the presence of each other we hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses to what was declared to be her last Will and Testament.

Be It Remembered That on the 10th day of December 1912 James E. Keeling and Thomas J. McCain two of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last Will, and Testament of Rachel A. Lewis, late of said County, deceased personally appeared before Otto L. Coyle Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County in the State of Indiana and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court upon their oath, declared and testified as follows, that is to say: That on the 25th day of February 1907 he saw the said Rachel A. Lewis sign her name to the said instrument in writing as and for her last Will and Testament and that these deponents at the same time, heard the said Rachel A. Lewis declare the said instrument in writing to be her last Will and testament and that these deponents at the same time, heard the said Rachel A. Lewis declare the said instrument in writing to be her last Will and Testament and that the said instrument in writing was at the same time, at the request of the said Rachel A. Lewis and with her consent attested and subscribed by the said James E. Keeling, Thomas J. McCain and John K. Anderson in the presence of said testator and in the presence of each other, as subscribing witnesses thereto and that the said Rachel A. Lewis was at the time of the signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing as aforesaid of full age (that is more than twenty one years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory and not under any coercion or restraint as the said deponent verily believes and further deponent says not.

Lewis has been duly admitted to probate and duly proved by the testimony of James E. Keeling and Thomas J. McCain two of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete record of said Will and of the testimony of the said James E. Keeling and Thomas J. McCain in proof thereof, has been by me duly made and recorded in Book 6 at pages 231-232-233 in the record of Wills of said County.

CODICIL
I, Rachel A. Lewis, of Waldron Ind do make ordain and publish this as and for a codicil to my will executed on the 25th day of February 1907.
Item One, I give to the Methodist Church of Geneva Noble Township, Shelby County, Indiana the sum of Twenty five dollars ($25.00) and direct my Executors to pay said legacy out of the same funds from which my debts are to be paid.
Item Two, The farm which I direct and order sold in and by Item One of my said Will is to be sold by my executors and the proceeds of sale of said land applied by my executors as directed in Item One of my said Will and Item One of this Codicil said farm is located in Noble Township, Shelby County, Indiana, and contains approximately One Hundred Seventeen (117) acres of land.
Item 3, I hereby re-affirm my said will in all respects except as modified by this Codicil, and by way of explaination of said Will I declare that the house and lot devised to Bertha A. Curtis by Item Two of my said Will is my home in Waldron Shelby County Ind. And further I declare I used the words, "Will, give, bequeath and devise," in my said will with equal meaning, it being my intentions and purpose in employing either or all of these words to pass title absolutely and forever to the property given.
